J.T. Gould is a fantasy author whose fiction has earned two Honorable Mentions in the Writers of the Future Contest and includes a published short story. He is currently seeking representation for The Hounds of Heaven, the first novel in a planned trilogy.
Gould’s fascination with wolves began in childhood when his family adopted a large dog named Smokey. During a routine veterinary visit, the family learned that Smokey was not a dog at all, but a purebred Yukon wolf. Smokey became a beloved member of the family and left a lasting impression through countless adventures before ultimately sacrificing himself while protecting the family’s livestock.
Those experiences challenged many common misconceptions about wolves and sparked a lifelong interest in their behavior, history, and folklore.
Drawing on that fascination, along with a love of history, mythology, and faith, Gould reimagines traditional werewolf legends through stories that explore loyalty, family, identity, redemption, and transformation.
The Hounds of Heaven blends ancient folklore with a coming-of-age story about two young werewolves struggling to define their place in a world caught between the forces of Heaven and Hell.
